Perhaps ask around at local beauty salons to see if they know of local courses/individuals who might be able to teach your gf. There may be freelance beauty therapists in your area who could train her on a more informal basis for a nominal fee, although she would then not receive any kind of official qualification. It is doubtful whether there are any correspondence courses for beauty as it is a very much hands-on field (unlike English or Psychology for example). Local councils can also provide details of courses offered in the local area and would be able to advise of what might be suitable under your circumstances. There is a website providing details of home study courses at http://www.BSYgroup.co.uk….try them to see if there’s anything you fancy but obviously this is not a personal recommendation because it depends on what your gf is looking to learn.
