Hi, You may have developed the bumps and ingrowns because you may not have pulled the hair right out or it could have broken off. The dark skin is probably because there is a hair underneath. I wouldn’t use denim jeans, you can use calico. I use Adam & Eve wax.

I’ve tried plucking my underarm hairs before and it developed ingrown hairs and little bumps where the hair are. The skin also turned really dark and I don’t know how to get rid of it. Would waxing make those less noticeable? I really wanna try waxing but I don’t know where and which wax to buy. I’ve heard that you can substitute waxing strips with cut off denim jeans. It won’t necessarily all be growing in the same direction, you can have up to six different directions under each arm, Lift the hair and see where it is coming from and do the sections separately.

Yes you can perform this on yourself, you just have to pull your are right back to stretch the skin. Waxing is not extremely painful if it is performed properly, it is a bit like removing a band aid, and the redness will depend on the type of wax used and the skin, but again if it is done properly the redness will be minimal and not last long.

Is it possible to perform this sort of waxing by yourself, or would you require someone else or a beautician to do it.
Also, it’s always made out that it causes huge amounts of pain and redness, yet I saw neither of these on your video. Are these claims therefore false in underarm waxing at least?

Yes, it sounds like IPL would be the most beneficial for you. Not only will it get rid of most of the hair but it will settle your follicles and get rid of any old ingrown hair scars.

I have…crazy hairy pits from . My skin is also extremely sensitive and quite translucent, so upon shaving, the follicles are still visible underneath the skin. I also ALWAYS get ingrown hairs and irritation. So basically, my pits look chicken skinned, stubbled, with giant ingrown hairs. I’ve tried waxing, though it was a better experience, I still got ingrown hairs. Is laser hair removal my only option? Is that even an option? Thanks alot
